Turbo Walkthrough
Turbo is a challenging and entertaining motorcycle game in which you need to avoid obstacles and shoot enemies as you drive your motorcycle from the botton of the screen to the top. Your goal is to survive the enemy attacks and take out as many of them as you can to get to the next level. It sounds like a pretty easy premise, but the game can actually be fairly difficult. Newcomers to motorcycle games like this will probably find themselves having a bit of trouble even getting through the first level and as the game progresses, even more experienced players are going to find a good challenge.
The thing that really sets Turbo apart from most of the other motorcycle games online. You aren't simply required to drive your motorcycle from one side of the screen to the other avoiding obstacles as you drive. Instead, this game requires you to drive from the bottom of the screen to the top still avoiding obstacles, in this case, civilian cars, but you're also required to shoot at enemies and avoid enemy fire. This is one aspect of the game that makes it much more difficult than other games in the genre. If you hit or destroy a civilian car or are hit by enemy fire you will lose health points (shown at the top right of your screen). You only have so much health before you die and have to start the level over. When you start over, you just begin from the beginning of the level you were on when you died, so you don't have to worry about ending up all the way back at the first level. This is a great benefit if you're on one of the later levels in the game when you run out of health.
While you can usually evade enemies and enemy fire throughout most of the levels in Turbo if you're careful and pay attention to what's happening on the screen, you won't be able to get passed the enemies at the end of the level without using your weapons. In addition, you won't be able to buy any additional weapon, bikes or cursors if you don't destroy your enemies. You are rewarded with money each time you destroy an enemy. This money is used in the shop to buy new things to make the game a bit easier. Even the new cursors can improve game play; allowing you to more accurately target enemy vehicles. New weapons are essential if you want to get passed the first few levels in the game. Enemies are tougher and approach faster. Each time you purchase a new weapon it will be shown at the top of your screen along with the number key on your keyboard you need to press to arm yourself with that new weapon. Stronger, more powerful weapons also make it much easier to take out the boss enemies at the end. New bikes can offer increased speed or may take a greater amount of damage before they are destroyed. All of these things will come in handy throughout the game.
In addition to the excellent upgrades you can purchase in the shop between levels in Turbo, you will also be given the opportunity to collect power ups throughout the level. You'll need to destroy special ships (they're spherical in shape but the color changes from level to level) and then move your motorcycle over the falling power up. Power ups fall straight down and are fairly easy to collect. The ships are also large making them easier to target. The power ups are definitely worth collecting and can help you in just about every aspect of your game. There are power ups to boost your health, power ups to give you a money bonus and power ups to increase the amount of damage inflicted on enemies from your weapon; each of which can help you in your game significantly. These power ups are the same basic power ups you'd expect to see in most of the motorcycle games online, but the fact that you actually have to destroy your enemy and collect the power up makes it a little more difficult to get them in this one.
Overall, Turbo is an excellent motorcycle game for any fan on the genre to enjoy. It's challenging, unique and extremely addictive. This is a game that will keep you playing time and time again. If you manage to beat the game you're going to want to go back and play again to see if you can get a higher score or a better time. Newcomers to motorcycle games might have a bit of a hard time getting the hang of the controls, but after taking a few passes at the first level, even beginners should be able to get the hang of it in time. More experienced players are going to appreciate the level of difficulty the game presents as well as the lively and entertaining graphics that make up the game. In each new level, new enemies are introduced keeping the game fresh and fun. This is an excellent game any fan of motorcycle games should try at least once.
