If you have played previous TG Motocross games or other motorcycle games before, you shouldn't have any trouble playing TG Motocross 4. Just like the previous installments, this game is played entirely with the key: up for acceleration, down for brakes, left and right for leaning. That's about everything you need to know as far as controls go. Let's have a closer look at the game.

TG Motocross 4 Walkthrough
TG Motocross 4 - this has to be one of the BEST and most played motorcycle games out there... and for good reason. Just like the previous games in the series, this motorcycle game comes with its guns blazing... showcasing the physics engine that made the series head and shoulders ahead of the rest of the pack. And it's developed by David Thornburn, which is one of my favorite game developers when it comes to motorcycle games.
Just like in the previous installments, keeping an eye on your mini-map is a must while you keep another eye on the main game screen. Looking at the mini-map all the time lets you see the terrain ahead of you, allowing you to plan your jumps and landings in advance... which then translates to better stunts and better scores. The more air tricks and BIGGEST stunts you do, the MORE points you will bag. Better yet, using the number keys on your keyboard, you can combine multiple stunts as long as you are air borne. Do that and get even MORE points.
For those who haven't played the previous games in the series, you may have guessed that this game isn't about racing or crazy speed. Instead, this motorcycle game will test your handling skills. In TG Motocross 4, doing your best to keep your rider and motorcycle in a balanced position is your goal... and of course, score as much as you can before you reach the finish line. With so many holes, jumps, and bumps along the way, balancing your bike can be VERY challenging and fun of course.
Do NOT fall off your bike... NEVER EVER let that happen. Otherwise, you will have to start again at the very beginning of the level. The goal - the must-do's and don'ts, are very straightforward. BUT actually doing them is another story. That said, there are a couple of tricks and tips that you can use to help you score as much as you can in this motorcycle game. I still have a lot of stuff to do today so without any delay, let's get on with it:
- The timer - for those of you who are time conscious, here's some good news. The timer doesn't start until you hit the throttle button. That said, give your bike the time it needs to hit the ground. Doing otherwise will only result to a worse finishing time. Even better, I recommend that you maneuver your bike into the BEST position possible by leaning forward or backward before you step on the pedal.
- This motorcycle game is all about leaning the RIGHT way. While it largely depends on the terrain, there are a couple of rules of thumb that will help. Leaning backwards while you are cruising through straight / flat terrain will speed you up, and it does a good job of slashing off seconds off of your lap time.
- So you just made a jump? Worried that you will NOT make it? Keep your cool. Here's a tip: try leaning inwards so that your front tires make it, and hopefully, it will be enough to pull your motorcycle to safety. Now, this technique doesn't work 100 percent of the time. BUT sometimes, it's just enough to keep you going.
- When you are a BIG jump, you should lean backwards. Doing so will give you that extra speed and momentum, which is crucial for making your jumps as long as possible. Once you are about to leave the ground, lean forward. This will help you get a bit of distance.
- If, after a jump, you are to land on a steep slope filled with bumps, the best thing that you can do is hold down the brakes as you land. This will stop your bike from flipping over, which is the last thing you want to happen.
