ATV CANYON Walkthrough
ATV CANYON is a challenging and addictive motorcycle game in which your standard motorcycle is replaced by a powerful (and bouncy) ATV making the game different enough from most other motorcycle games online to feel fresh and new. In reality, this game doesn't really break any new ground. Your goal is to get from the starting point on the left side of the course to the finish like in the right side of the course. Along the way you are presented with hills, valleys and gaps in the terrain that make accomplishing your goal more than a little bit difficult. It is that level of difficulty that makes the game so much fun and is also what makes it so addictive. Each time you crash you want to play again to try to get further than you did the last time. The challenge will keep you coming back for more as you try to get through each level to see what the next level has in store for you.
One of the best things about ATV CANYON is the opportunity it gives you to try for a high score. This isn't just a game about getting from point A to point B to pass the level unlike many other motorcycle games online. Instead, you are given the opportunity to collect coins (worth ten points each) and perform front and back flips to give yourself a higher score. The trick, however, is making through the level to collect those points. If you fail to complete the level, all of your points will be lost as will any coins you'd collected on your first trip through the course. Coins do not reappear a second time through the course. This can make the game a little frustrating. In addition to losing your coins and points, you will also have to start over from the beginning of the level which can be irritating if you make it just about to the end of the level when you crash. There are no save points in this game. While you won't have to start from the beginning of the first level, you will have to retry the level in its entirety. If you continually crash near the end of the level, starting over can get a bit annoying after a few crashes. Be patient, though. You will be able to get over the obstacle standing in the way of your goal if you give it time.
The most important thing in ATV CANYON is control. You need to keep control of your ATV, even if that means going through the course a bit slower than you would with any other motorcycle game. Control is the key to making it through every level in this game. Having control of your ATV means you'll be able to balance it when you're going up an incline, coming down from an incline or landing after a jump. This isn't an easy thing to do as your ATV isn't the most stable vehicle to use, but it can be done. Control your speed when you can and make sure you have your fingers ready on the arrow keys to balance your vehicle. This is also important when performing flips. The key to landing a flip is to make sure you have room to successfully land it before you even begin the flip. Start the flip at the height of your jump so you'll have more room to land it and to prevent the flip from robbing your jump of it's height. Once the jump is complete, focus on leveling out your vehicle while it's still in the air. This will make it much easier to balance your ATV when it lands on solid ground again.
Overall, ATV CANYON is a game that anyone can enjoy regardless of their skill or experience level with motorcycle games. It isn't an easy game but it is a game that you can improve at with time and patience. Experienced players will appreciate the fact that it is difficult and that it offers something a little different than the traditional motorcycle game options out there. Beginners will likely have a hard time even getting through the first few levels, but will love the challenge it presents. This game never feels impossible even though it can be frustrating. The player always has the feeling that victory is just within their grasp and with time and practice, it is. Whether you are an avid motorcycle game fan or a newcomer to the genre, this is a game you must play at least once. Don't be surprised if that 'once' turns into game after game. This one is entirely addictive and far too much fun to skip.
